These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of BetterApply. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use BetterApply.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a binding contract to use BetterApply. By using the service you represent that you meet these requirements.
2. Your account
- You're responsible for all activity under your account.
- Keep your credentials secure and notify us of any unauthorized access.
- You may close your account at any time from settings.
3. Your content
You retain full ownership of everything you upload — resumes, cover letters, notes, and any content generated for you. You grant us a limited license to process your content solely to operate and improve the features you use.
4. AI-generated output
BetterApply uses AI to produce scores, suggestions, and tailored drafts. Outputs are suggestions, not guarantees. You are responsible for reviewing and approving anything before submitting it to an employer.
5. Acceptable use
- No mass-blasting employers, recruiters, or third-party platforms.
- No scraping, reverse engineering, or interfering with the service.
- No uploading content you do not have the right to use.
- No unlawful, harassing, or deceptive activity.
6. Subscriptions and payments
Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis until cancelled. You can cancel anytime; cancellation stops future renewals but does not refund the current period unless required by law. Prices may change with reasonable notice before your next renewal.
7. Free tier
The Free tier is provided as-is and may have usage limits that change over time. We may modify or discontinue free features without liability.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, misuse the service, or create risk for us or other users. You can terminate by deleting your account at any time.
9. Disclaimer
BetterApply is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee any specific job search outcome, interview, or offer. Use of the service is at your own risk.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BetterApply will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which BetterApply is established, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
